North Queensland Newsletter – February Issue

We would like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land and seas on which we deliver our lifesaving services.  We pay our respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
The NQB Youth State Team went to Lake Tinaroo for a one-day training camp on Sunday 7th February. The group warm-up started with a run and then moved on to water skills and techniques.
After the training sessions, the group participated in a team-building exercise where the mission was to build a raft that would float. This team-building activity promoted problem-solving, listening, leadership, and creative thinking skills.  A special thank you to Black Gully Education Centre for the raft building equipment.  This one-day camp was only possible with the help of our incredible Age Managers, Coaches, Team Managers, Water Safety, and parents.
NQB Youth State Team are excited to announce the 2022 Team Captains - Mia Yeabsley, Maddie Wilkinson, and Kodi Worth. Good luck to the 2022 NQB Youth State Team at the Junior State Championships.
